I’m not claiming this is the end all be all solution for everyone, it’s just a suggestion based on OP’s concerns and my personal experience of being exactly like OP - snoozing over and over and still feeling groggy! My adhd thoughts are faster than I can accurately type I guess! Happy most of you guys figured out the website even with my typo but here it is again if you need! I have it added to my home screen for easy access. I didn’t realize my suggestion was going to get this many upvotes. Pair that alarm with the science of your sleep cycle and it might be the solution, worth a shot! The grogginess and snoozing is what you feel when you try to wake up at your deepest sleep in your cycle! And then snoozing puts you back into that deep state and you continuously feel groggy because the cycle never completed!Īnother tip is those alarms on Amazon that slowly light up 30 mins before your alarm! Because your eyes will adjust naturally and your body will think “hey it’s almost time to wake up”

Use the website when you go to bed and click “if I go to sleep now” and it will spit out 6 times they recommend you set an alarm for. Hi! You are most likely waking up not in sync with your natural circadian rhythm! Natural sleep cycles are 90 mins so I hated that people always say sleep 7-8 hours but it should be taught to time it in 90 mins intervals. Last night I tried out, that sleep cycle app, and going to bed earlier with a bottle of water in my system. I'm really just at a loss because I feel like I can lose my job for this.Įdit: thank you all so much for your experiences and insights, i really appreciate it all. Going to sleep is relatively easy for me most nights, but waking up feels like trying to recover from a punch from Mike Tyson in his prime after a hangover.

WAKE UP ONTIME HOW TO

Im like a half awake semi genius, because no matter what little task I set myself up to do in order to turn my alarm off, I either figure out how to cheat it or I figure out the pattern the app does for the mission. And it's not like I just snooze it either, I completely disable the alarm and completely forget I even did it. I currently have an app where I have to do little missions in order to get my alarm to turn off, but I've figured out how to cheat nearly all of them in my half-asleep daze. I've set over 10 alarms over 5 minute intervals for before and after I'm actually supposed to wake up. I've tried everything at this point and I really can not wake up when my alarm goes off 85 times out of 100.
